Imperial College London, rising as a powerhouse in research, innovation and academic entrepreneurship, received its largest gift ever for a biomedical engineering campus for the new MedCity located just outside London’s financial centre. Its was given by alumnus and angel philanthropist Michael Uren who graduated from Imperial in 1943. The news was announced today.
“It seems to me that, in effect, what we are creating here is a new Silicon Valley London, which is bound to succeed.” said Mr. Uren.
MedCity will be located in West London. This is interesting as the tech growth hub is happening in East London. This
