Google’s R & D Differentiation

My brilliant friend Rob Michlowitz, a PhD student in computer science at the University of Central Florida pointed this article out to me:

“Why Google Doesn’t Have a Research Lab” which was published recently in the MIT Research Review.

A good short read on Google and its strategy. A recent paper “Rethinking industrial research, development and innovation in the 21st century”  by Cynthia Wagner Weick from the University of the Pacific and Ravi K. Jain of the same was highlighted in the article. I have just started in on it myself. The .pdf an be found here as published in Technology and Society.

Back with more. Just wanted to update you on what the Academic Entrepreneur has on his homework list tonight.
